MRG Academy: Explore Personal Directions
The dividing line between leaders’ personal and professional worlds is increasingly blurred: individuals wish to bring their authentic selves into their work; and the stresses of the outside world are impossible to keep out of the office. Personal Directions(R) – MRG’s suite of assessments comprising the IDI, Appraise Your World, and World Outcomes – is a uniquely valuable and timely tool for coaching individuals as they navigate their work and their world.
In this session, we’ll take a close look at Personal Directions, including:
- The intent and design of each of the three assessments
- How MRG practitioners approach Personal Directions interpretation and debrief
- Revealing and noteworthy dimension combinations within and across assessments
- A coaching case study using Personal Directions
We invite practitioners who are certified in the IDI(TM) alone or in Personal Directions(R) to join us for this informative and interactive session, which will include live Q&A with Tricia Naddaff and Maria Brown.

The self-awareness created by the IDI is valuable in and of itself – but what can we do with that awareness to make it actionable? As an IDI practitioner, you know that we can’t try to change what drives us – but motivational awareness is still a powerful tool for taking developmental action. By leveraging the IDI to inform development, clients can reduce internal biases, disrupt frustrating thought patterns, and ultimately find more satisfaction at work and in life.
Drawing from years of experience working with the IDI, experts Tricia Naddaff and Christine Chasse will share their favorite tactics for helping clients leverage motivational insights to make meaningful change. The session will include:
- Crafting an introduction to the IDI that sets your client up for success
- Key combinations and tips for interpreting a profile wholistically (rather than score by score) to paint a more authentic picture
- Ideas for questions and exercises to provide your client post-debrief
- An exploration of sample profiles and potential approaches to development
This 90-minute session is exclusively for certified IDI practitioners, and will include 30 minutes of open Q&A with Tricia and Christine.
